DENEB – Between Light and Darkness

Some contrasts simply belong together.

With DENEB, it is the deep black of onyx meeting the cool, almost translucent blue of aquamarine. Two completely different tones that do not compete with each other – they make each other more interesting.

Dark onyx runs through the design, interrupted by flashes of pale aquamarine. Towards the front, the blue becomes more prominent and changes the entire character of the necklace. Depending on the light, DENEB can appear dark and dramatic one moment and surprisingly bright the next.

The irregular gemstone chips were chosen deliberately. No stone needs to look exactly like the one beside it. Different shapes, subtle variations in colour and natural textures remain visible, giving the necklace its distinctive rhythm.

DENEB is not about perfect symmetry. It has contrast, texture and a character of its own.

Its name is no coincidence. Deneb is one of the brightest stars in our night sky, and the combination of darkness with cool, pale blue immediately reminded me of that image when creating this necklace.

At approximately 50 cm, DENEB sits beautifully around the neckline without losing the impact of its unusual black and blue composition.

Natural differences in colour, shape and structure are part of the gemstones – and part of DENEB.
